Preface
This book goes back to my graduate study of architectural settlement. During recent yearsof practice I’ve been asked about the relation between my design and settlement research. As to reply those peer questions and due to fewer architectural practice lately I do have some time to organise the thoughts. Hereby this book endeavours to present the relationshipbetween architecture and settlement by means of serial elaboration and case studies. Ifreaders can get your own understanding of settlement and city settlement and architectureand potentials of settlement then this book fulfils its mission. As always I have to claim this book only talks about my personal cognition of these questions:settlement and city settlement and architecture and potentials of settlement which doesn’t feature popularity or universality.
